The Ghana Police has arrested a trotro driver for urinating on a highway. Richmond Tetteh who got down from his vehicle GX 3119 -16 to urinate on the Legon to Pantang stretch has been arrested for the nuisance.

There is a revolution in the nation’s police. This is towards a direction that the ordinary citizen can boldly attest to that the laws are working currently. The current wave started with the arrest and prosecution of robbers and people indulging in crimes to celebrities putting up reckless stunts and now, drivers for not doing well legally –  all to the glory of the current IGP.

The Inspector-General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare is bringing sanity into the country as far as policing is concerned. Currently, incidents that buttress this fact includes the arrest of Shatta Wale for faking his death. Then, the arrest of Medikal for brandishing a gun on social and how within the shortest possible time the law enforcement agency arrested a private driver for ‘Paul Walker‘ moves on the highway.

The most current on his file is the arrest of Richmond Tetteh. As usual, Mr Akuffo Dampare has received his praises for his ‘no nonsense’ policing. However, a section of the populace believes the police should have done something else than an arrest. According to them, the cities lack accessible washrooms for convenience. So most of the time, commuters have to walk through the cities to lone corners to ease themselves.

Therefore, before the police would arrest people, they should also ensure they had made provisions for individuals. Besides, they cried that the Ghana Police should start chasing corrupt government officials and politicians for even justice. They say that the IGP is doing selective justice as he puts to right the ordinary citizens with trivial crimes.
