Jamaican singer and star – Gramps Morgan has expressed the will to do a collaboration with Ghanaian rap star Sarkodie. The Grammy Award winner revealed this when he couldn’t contain the thrills from Rapperholic21. He commented from a live Boomplaymusic covering of the concert that “Stay tuned to the Gramps and Sarkodie collab.”
In a series of comments, he affirmed that he will get to Ghana soon. Also, he expressed that Sarkodie was very professional, or perhaps the entire concert.
Sarkodie held Ghana down with Rapperholic 2021. Even though there were other massive shows happening in the capital and in other areas, the concert didn’t flop. The annual popular event masterminded by the acclaim Rap King of Africa recruits the artistic prowess of other industry players to entertain his fans while the year rests.
All the elements worked perfectly at the Grand Arena on December 25 to give the wowing effect that has gotten Gramps Morgan to want a collabo so bad. However, the anticipating project if successful won’t be the first in Ghana.
Gramps Morgan is a member of Morgan Heritage.
The Grammy Award-winning band was made up of five siblings of Reggae artist Denroy Morgan. The names of the other four are Peter “Peetah” Morgan, Una Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr Mojo” Morgan. It was formed in 1994.
However, two left the group. Even though they both go on with solo careers, the band, the heritage still lives and functions when necessary.
In 2018, the band arrived in Ghana to recruit Stonebwoy for a song for their Loyalty album. The song Africa x Jamaica also featured the Tanzanian star, Diamond Platnumz.
Morgan’s coming for Sarkodie would be another history between Ghana and Jamaica. After all, the Reggae and Dancehall giants in Ghana already have strengthened the bond between the two countries.
