Ghanaian actor cum politician and farmer, John Dumelo is asking the people of Ghana to say a prayer for the inhabitants of Shiashie in East Legon, Accra. The area caught fire last night.

The slum dwellers in Shiashie had their worse nightmare last night. Unfortunately for them, fire broke out guttering about hundreds and more makeshift structures rendering them homeless.
Sadly, the affected sought shelter at nearby churches to pass the night in this unfriendly weather.

According to the victims, most of the structures got burnt within the shortest time because they are closely built to each other.

As an aspiring Member of Parliament for the constituency, John Dumelo after visiting the scene appealed to the general public to to say a word of prayer for the embattled community.

“Please say a prayer for the people of Shiashie. Last night, fire gutted through 100’s of homes in a slum in Shiashie, East Legon.

As at now, the cause of the fire outbreak hasn’t been found. Also, there is no report yet if lives were taken.

Recently, there was a fire outbreak at the Electoral Commission office at Sapeiman. The Accra Regional Police Command has begun an investigation into the cause of the disaster.
