In the wake of conflicts spotted in the early days prior to the December 7 general elections, Reggae and Dancehall act, Stonebwoy is set to stage a Unity Health Walk that aims at uniting the two major parties in Ghana.
Needless to say, if there should be any violence emanating from the December 7 polls, it will evolve around NDC-NPP supporters. Not long ago, the country was put into frenzy when NPP and NDC supporters clashed at Odododiodio. In fact, it was appalling to realize what an ordinary health walk turned into.
However, authorities attended to the matter and now it is sorted out, even though that alone doesn’t promise a violence-free elections.
Regarding Stonebwoy’s initiative, members of these two giant political parties of the land can wear their party colours. Interestingly, the Unity Health Walk would take place in Ashaiman, the abode of the star. In all the constituencies in Ghana, Ashaiman is among the many that records violence during elections.
Besides, regarding the recent voter registration exercise, there was chaos when some section of the members found their names were not in the register after partaking in the exercise. As a matter of fact, that alone set a bad platform for violence on December 7. Therefore, the unity walk is in the right direction.
Moreover, it is slated for November 28, 5AM at Ashaiman Presby Junction. Let’s unite in our differences, come in your party colours.
