Briefly, TV3 Ghana, the organizer of 3Music awards has released the nominees’ list for the 2021 edition. One of the categories that seem very competitive is the Gospel Act of the Year.

Interestingly, the category nominated award-winning Joe Mettle, Celestine Donkor, Joyce Blessing, M.O.G., Diana Hamilton, Empress Gifty, Akesse Brempong and Patience Nyarko.

As a matter of fact, this is very competitive. Some time ago, Patience Nyarko claimed that Joe Mettle is overrated. According to him, he doesn’t do anything unusual aside from adding his finesse vocals to existing Methodist and Presbyterian hymns, if not Pentecost. Interestingly, the claim divided the nation into two as majority pounded on her for making such an opinion. According to them, he just hates the anointing filled singer.

So who wins the 3Music Gospel Act for 2021? Diana Hamilton per facts has always come at close range with Joe Mettle on other award schemes. And per surveys on media, she has a good record with personal life and as far as music is concerned. Briefly, she’s doing so well. That has laid the basis for some people to predict that she can take it, if not Joe Mettle.

Among them, Mettle has most of the awards, including an enviable Artist of the Year from Vodafone Ghana Music Award. Unarguably, most Ghanaians celebrate him most. Do you think he will take it again?

MOG Music, Akesse Brempong and Joyce Blessing aren’t doing badly either, not to talk of Empress Gifty.

At around 8 pm yesterday, Jay Foley and MzGee hosted the 3Music nominees’ show.
