The self-acclaimed Dancehall king of Ghana, Shatta Wale has expressed his shock of life over articles circulating on some blogs that say that the ‘world star’ Popcaan has begged the former for a song.
According to Shatta, we are the very ones impeding our growth. He said this referring to the bloggers that published such news. Thus, because of such news, the mainstream superstars will never condescend to do business with Ghanaians. This isn’t the first, a similar incident is the Sarkodie and Acehood brouhaha. However, it seems with that one, Obidi said it himself.
So, one of the blogs shared with the headline “Popcaan begs SShatta Wale has expressed his shock of life over articles circulating on some blogs that say that the ‘world star’ Popcaan has begged the former for a song. Shatta Wale for a collaboration.” And one also shared “Shatta Wale unwinds in Miami amidst Popcaan collabo request.”
Unfortunately, Popcaan saw the updates from these platforms and reacted. With a simple tweet, he shared “Nigga I didn’t request anything, get your facts straight.”
Shatta displeased with the entire conversation came in to plead with the ‘world star’ on behalf of the blogs. According to him, they should have said something like a superstar is helping another superstar.
“So when will we learn Ghana …How can you say this to a world star. You won’t even say “Thank you Popcaan for giving shatta wale a chance to shine” or someting better for the world to see that another superstar wants to project your own brother? Sorry unruly boss for all this.”
