Fast-rising singer and daughter of a veteran and celebrated musician, Jackie Acheampong, popularly known as Gyakie is gradually becoming a household name. The daughter of Nana Acheampong has pulled mind-boggling traffic for her Forever hit.
Forever is a song on her debut EP dubbed Seed. It talked about reassuring her lover of her feelings and loyalty. She released the visuals for the song on August 7, 2020. As of now, it has garnered 3,047,829 views on Youtube and 1,011,734 on Spotify. That’s incredible. During last week, there were headlines that Gyakie has travelled to Nigeria for a project.
The least we knew was that she has realized the hit song needed a remix. As a measure to spread her arts beyond the borders of the nation, the Nigerian industry was the rightful first step. She employed Omah Lay for the remix.
About five days ago, thus on March 25 this year, Forever remix was ready. As of now, it has 1,070,294 views, as a matter of fact, this calls for celebration, and that was exactly what she did.
“Thank you for 1M views in less than a week on #ForeverRemix visuals and 3M views on the original version on @YouTube. Keep Streaming.”
Both the original and remix versions are projects from the Flip The Music record label. Steven Asamoah directed the video.
Gyakie has also produced hit tunes such Sor Mi Mu featuring Bisa Kdei, Never Like This, and others.
