Ghanaian singer, Wendy Asiamah Addo who is professionally known as Wendy Shay has revealed that hackers have tampered with her upcoming album and her Instagram account with 2.3 million followers.

The album was already slated for April release, but the date was postponed for some unknown reasons. It was later set for May 28 yesterday, and yes, she released it. So far, it is receiving incredible feedback from the general public.

“I just released the Shayning Star album and my Instagram account with 2.3 Million followers has been hacked. I need urgent help @instagram. Agenda Boys this time help your sister.”

Wendy Shay has not given much information about the hack yet. She calls on experts to help her out. However, a section of the public believes she wants to just hype the album.

However, celebrity account and album hacking are not new in the industry. During last year, Stonebwoy also revealed that they hacked his Activate hit that featured Davido. According to him, he will never let every single soul in the act go freely. He expressed that the issue of song hacking has taken root in the system because, normally, the culprits are not fished out and dealt with.

But with Wendy Shay, we don’t know the action she will take yet. In the meantime, if you have not listened to the Shayning Star album yet, follow this link on Boomplay to do so if you want. The album is second to the Shay On You debut in 2019.

Concerning the Instagram hack, Ghanaian South Africa based rapper, Yinks advised that Wendy should activate the two steps account verification.

“You should have activated the two-way authentication factor to protect your IG. Do same on your Facebook now before they take your verified page too.”
