Kwesi Arthur, born Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior has for the first time expressed resentment about colleagues in the music industry. The singer and rapper who said he will never beef with any colleague confessed he is not cool with DopeNation for lying on his brand for clout.
In December 2019, DopeNation released a diss song to Kwesi Arthur dubbed Chairman. Their motivation was that the Tema rapper disrespected their brand. Briefly, according to the twins, Ghana Telecom booked them for a show. When it was time for them to mount the stage, where the CCTV showed that DopeNation was next to perform, Kwesi Arthur and his crew push them off the stairs leading to the stage.
The incident, according to DopeNation, was a gross disrespect to their brand. After all, they mentioned their name so everyone was expecting them.
So right after leaving the show, they rushed to their studio to record Chairman. However, they decided to let go because the unfortunate event happened two weeks ago before the song was ready. Sadly, they woke up and a hacker has leaked the diss track.
Interestingly, Kwesi Arthur didn’t mind them. In an interview on EBN Classified Showbiz two days ago, he revealed that he doesn’t put his energy into negativity. About the question, if he is cool with the duo, he frantically said no, he’s not cool with them.
According to him, his brand is the breadwinner of his family. Before his breakthrough into the industry, he had nothing. Now he can feed his family, he emphasised that his brand means a lot to him. Therefore, he can’t be cool with anyone that would throw dirt on his brand just for clout.
Meanwhile, he said yes, if DopeNation should phone him for a collaboration he may consider it as far as the song is dope.
