10 years ago, Hammer of the Last Two featured Agyekum and Sarkodie on the song Ohohuo Asem. Actually, the mind-boggling masterpiece was inspired by a true story lived by Agyekum.

The song narrates the story of how people migrate from rural areas to urban to seek greener pastures. The least they knew is the struggles that lie beneath the high towers and buildings that inspired their dreams.

Ohohuo Asem also tells how ambitious Agyekum was. In fact, he wanted to be a musician, but when the time came for Hammer to help him, there were rumours about his personality that dispirited the music mogul to look the other way. That he was disrespectful and others.

Hammer released has released the video in 2021, exactly a decade ago in loving memory of Agyekum. He never lived to see the video.

Pouring his heart on the project, Hammer said, “10yrs ago in 2011 a very important issue was captured in a song written and performed by Agyekum and Sarkodie(The plight of a traveller/stranger). I produced and recorded this song in the last days leading to the shut down of the famous hush hush studios.”

In 2019, Hafiz shot the video for the song, the same year Agyekum kicked the bucket after a short illness. However, Hammer didn’t release the video because of respect for the family. The deceased left three beautiful kids. Upon releasing the video, the producer has decided that the proceeds will be given to the kids.

“2 months after the shoot in 2019 Agyekum the artist fell ill and died. I made a decision to shelf the video out of respect for the bereaved family. YouTube proceeds will be given to his 3 beautiful kids in perpetuity.”

Hammer is pleading with the general public to “help support this cause with as many views as possible.” Kindly like and share this article after watching the video below, the least you can do for the family.

Thank you.
