Michael B Jordan, one of the successful American actors in their 30s has to his portfolio amazing films that speak of his eminence. Born Michael Bakari Jordan, the star started acting in 1999 and he doesn’t seem to stop thrilling the world anytime sooner.

How he began

Jordan initially worked as a child model because he conceived his acting career. He modeled for many brands such as Toys “R” Us. In 1999 he made his first brief appearance as a professional actor in the television series Cosby and The Sopranos. He continued in 2001 with his debut principal film role in Hardball. This starred Keanu Reeves too.

In 2002, he caused a stir with a Wallace role he played well in HBO’s The Wire. Michael B Jordan appeared in the first season. The actor and producer came a long way with Chadwick Boseman. In March 2003, he replaced the deceased friend when he joined the cast of All My Children. Chadwick Boseman was playing the role of Reggie Montgomery – a troubled teenager. The contract ended in 2006.

Apart from these films, Jordan also made guest-starring appearances on Crime Scene Investigation, Without a Trace, and Cold Case. Moreover, the actor had his first lead role in the film Blackout. He starred in The Assistants on The-N. That didn’t end there, in 2008, he was featured in the music video “Did You Wrong” by Pleasure P.

Breakthrough

Michael B Jordan starred in a lot of films after 2008. He starred in the NBC drama Friday Night Lights in 2009. In the same year, he guest starred on Burn Notice for the Hot Spot episode. Other television films he starred in include Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode, Parenthood, Red Tails, Chronicle, and House.

He had all these amazing appearances to his credit. However, his breakthrough started in 2013 after starring as Oscar Grant in Fruitvale Station. He pulled attention and earned indelible remarks from critics. Todd McCarthy of The Hollywood Reporter stated that Micheal B Jordan reminds him of the young Denzel Washington. People and Variety also named him “an actor to watch” because of the same role. Time Magazine also named him among Coogler as one of the 30 people under 30 who are changing the world.

It’s amazing that all the films he gave his indelible touches were all written and directed by Ryan Coogler. Aside from Fruitvale Station which shot him into the limelight, Jordan is also known for Creed (2015), Black Panther (2018), Creed II (2018), What If (2021), and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2021). Currently, a third sequel for the Creed franchise is set for release in 2023. It’s quite interesting to know that this sequel is his debut directorial piece.
His other films include A Journal for Jordan directed by Denzel Washington and the remake of Wrong Answer.

Aside from the Creed III sequel which he had directed, Jordan would also appear sequel of I Am Legend with Will Smith.

Born on February 1987, in Santa Ana, California, the American actor and producer is the co-owner of the English Premier League football club AFC Bournemouth in 2022. In 2020, he started dating model Lori Harvey. The model is the adoptive daughter of comedian Steve Harvey. However, in 2022, it came to a halt.

The star is also a fan of anime. His favorites are Naruto: Shippuden and the Dragon Ball. He grew up in a religious home and openly stated he is spiritual.
